"When I got home, I thought I would put these stories away in a drawer and digest all that had been said, but within days I was reworking several of them. I learned a tremendous amount from your class. I left with a closer to realistic picture of what it takes to write for children and a feel for all those different levels of children's literature. But most important to me, I have a clerer picture of myself as someone who writes, not just someone whose head fills up with stories. Now I claim them as mine and that allows me to change them and move them where I want them to go."
